adam is really good at flirting with ronan, and he does it a lot. it’s not always smooth, and at the beginning of their relationship it used to start with an embarrassed smile or be accompanied by a laugh, but as they grow to know each other more, adam develops an uncanny ability of saying the exact right thing at the exact right time to make ronan’s cheeks dust with red or to make ronan break into a grin
ronan rolls his eyes sometimes even when he can’t fight off a smile, and other times he just grabs adam and kisses him. but at any rate, it always has the required effect
ronan is terrible at flirting. he’s great at the smirks and the heated looks, and he can tell adam he’s beautiful and gorgeous any day of the week, but actual flirting? the boy is a disaster. he still tries tho, and it always gets a grin (or better yet a laugh) out of adam
ronan sees that it sometimes still takes adam by surprise when ronan says something dumb and cheesy to him, so he plans on saying enough dumb and cheesy things that adam gets used to being (terribly) flirted with
it also really helps that ronan has two modes of delivering his lines: he either does it with a serious tone bordering on being deadpan, or he does it with a shit-eating grin bc he knows how bad his one liners are
considering the shopping carts and dragging a dolly behind a car, the flirting is no different than all the other dumb silly things ronan has done before to get a laugh out of adam… and it has the added bonus of no scabs and them kissing with twin smiles
however when ronan is just being painfully honest about how beautiful he finds his boyfriend, and not actively trying to flirt, adam is a goner. he feels his cheeks heating up with ronan’s words and the way he just looks at adam, and the heat spreads down to his neck and chest when ronan traces the flush on adam’s cheekbones with his thumps
that also ends in kissing and on one memorable occasion it ended up with them pulling up to the side of the road so adam could get out of the driver’s seat to make out with his bf
the comment probably had to do with something about how gorgeous adam looks while he’s driving. idk ronan lynch has weird kinks y’all
basically adam is great at flirting and ronan sucks at it but one time ronan delivers a perfect line flirting with adam and adam, grinning, gives him a high five. bc they’re still dumb bestfriends after all
Honestly during the battle of Hogwarts I feel immensely cheated at not having more Peeves v. Voldemort time because Peeves can’t die and is a complete asshole and I just really want that interaction in my soul of how furious Voldemort would be with Peeves for just existing. Voldemort can’t banish or kill Peeves so he would be trying to direct his Death Eater troops with Peeves floating three feet to the left repeating everything Voldemort says in a mocking high-pitched voice.
Headcanon: I can muster a cogent argument for why it would make more sense or make for a better story if this were the case
Heartcanon: I don’t have a particular rationale for why this ought to be the case, I just like to imagine it’s true because it gives me the warm fuzzies
Gutcanon: it’s not that I actively want this to be the case – it just unaccountably feels like it should be
