so a friend just convinced me to apply for a part-time job conducting a youth symphony group

and now i like… really want to get it

it wasn’t on my radar before because i didn’t think i’d be good enough for it…

but now i really want it

one of my least favorite parts of teaching… when you have to teach kids the hard lessons…

had to make a super tough call today with one of my students about whether or not she was prepared to go to a competition tomorrow.  while she has made a lot of progress, she just wasn’t ready, and was holding her group back.

i know i made the right decision, but it still sucks.  😦

just remembered a dream i had where I wrote a detailed research paper on The Last Unicorn, with annotations and graphics and it was all color-coded in a binder and then i did a backup binder just for fun
