you know those images of people screaming in the haunted house? yeah
so apparently when my sister and i were little we took golfing classes and we got kicked out after a week. the reason being that the old white male instructor kept calling my 4 year old sister Maria “Mary” after she told him several times that her name is pronounced Maria. anyway, at one point, he tells her “well, that doesn’t matter anymore. you’re in America now.” and that distressed my sister so much that she hit him with her golf club.
that’s not what did the damage, though. what fucked that old dude up is that i saw my sister hit him from where i was standing and i ran over and started beating him with MY golf club. my mom says that i didn’t know what the hell was happening, but i squared up.
that’s why we got kicked out.

—Karl PopperI feel that in the wake of the recent “let’s be civil” discussion, this is an important point to bring up again. You CANNOT be “civil” to people who actively want to harm you or take away your rights.
When our government is actively imposing travel bans on Muslims, deporting Mexicans, separating families and children, working towards enriching themselves while poor families and citizens live without clean water and food, ignore citizens who still don’t have power in Puerto Rico, and encourage sexism, racism, and bigotry at every turn… you cannot try to “reason” with them “civilly.”
There HAS to be CONSEQUENCES to their actions. And treating them with “respect” is not one of them. Every single member of the GOP is responsible for this mess we’re in, and they shouldn’t have a moments PEACE anymore. There is nothing more American than rising up against a corrupt and unjust government.
So if you vote for Trump or defend any of the current GOP policies or positions, you can kindly go f***k yourself.
