Okay but really we all know that in fact Thor, like all Asgardians, has the gift of Allspeak which allows him to understand every language and causes everyone he speaks to to hear him in their own language, so he was making a deadpan joke when he said he studied the groot language in college, right?
Also I’m pretty sure Thor did not go to college. He just knows about it from Darcy telling him about college things.
